ASUU Calls Off Strike, Orders Lecturers To Resume Work

The Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) has suspended its nine month strike with effect from Wednesday 23 December, 2020.

ASUU President, Professor Biodun Ogunyemi made the announcement during a press briefing in Abuja after a meeting with its National Executive Council (NEC).

Recall that ASUU commenced an indefinite nationwide strike in March due to the Federal Government’s failure to fulfill the 2009 agreement made with the union.
