The presidential election had taken place and Nigerians are now eager know the winner.

All the two strong candidates expressed optimism to win the election after casting their votes.

Atiku Abubakar, the PDP presidential candidate who casted his vote along his wife, Titi Abubakar, expressed satisfaction on the conduct of the election process, testified that, he will accept the verdict of the election as it comes.

Muhammadu Buhari, the president of Nigeria and the aspirant for second term under the APC party, Bluntly said that, he will be declared winner of the election as he believed.

Though, all the two presidential candidates did not delivered their polling units well.

The PDP presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar lost in his own polling unit while, Muhammadu Buhari lost senate to Accord Party in own polling unit.

Many online polls conducted have predicted that Atiku Abubakar will be the winner of the election but the certainty of the outcome was doubted as many argued, supporters of Muhammadu Buhari are the masses which don’t operate social media platforms to vote.

Many political analysts are of the opinion that Muhammadu Buhari will win the election because of his affiliation with the Yorubas.

The Yorubas will vote Muhammadu Buhari again because of Bola Ahmed Tinibu stronghold in the Eastern part of the country and for the agreement of producing the next presidential candidate of the APC party.

While, it is believed that Northerners have more confidence in Buhari than on Atiku and that can be ascertain during the campaigns of the two presidential candidates when the two compete of supporters.

Peter Obi emergence as the vice presidential running mate of Atiku Abubakar faced many challenge, even from the leaders and associations of the Igbo land and his action of deporting Northeners when he was the Governor of Anambra State fetched him loathing stigma in the North. And, Peter being the running mate of Atiku is expected to reduce Atiku’s support.

Nigerians are now earnestly awaiting to watch the collection of States votes by INEC chairman to hear the name of the next president of Nigeria.
