Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar has taken to Twitter to share a very important fact about the Super Eagles ahead of the clash with Croatia.
The Nigeria vs Croatia clash is scheduled to kick off at 8pm.
Atiku, who is vying for the presidency in the 2019 presidential election, reminded all that the Super Eagles have not lost an opening World Cup game to a European team, despite Russia 2018 being Nigeria’s sixth appearance at football’s greatest showpiece.
He tweeted, “Our @NGSuperEagles have never lost an opening #WorldCup game to a European team. I am confident in the indomitable spirit of our Super Eagles that today’s game against Croatia will be no different.”
