Atiku’s son nominated for Adamawa State commissioner position

The son of former vice president of Nigeria and PDP presidential candidate, Adamu Atiku has been nominated by Adamawa State Governor, Ahmadu Fintiri as Adamawa State Commissioner.

Atiku Abubakar GCON is a Nigerian politician, businessman, philanthropist and presidential candidate of the People’s Democratic Party at the 2019 Nigerian general election. He served as the 11th vice-president of Nigeria from 1999 to 2007 under the presidency of Olusegun Obasanjo.

The list was announced on Wednesday , among the House of Representatives in a session which was presided over by Speaker Aminu Iya-Abbas.

Abdullahi Prambe, who is the PDP secretary of Adamawa also made the list.

Ibrahim Mijinyawa and Umaru Daware, who resigned their position as commissioners under former Governor Muhammadu Bindow’s administration and defected to the PDP, were also nominated for the commissioners list in Adamawa. They were believed to be very loyal to Atiku.

Speaking on the list, house committee chairman on information, Japhet Kefas, said no date had been fixed for their screening.

“The house will decide next week on a date for their screening,” Kefas said.
