Attack on Senator Ifeanyi Ubah act of cowardice, unwarranted – IPOB

The Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) has condemned Sunday’s attack on the senator for Anambra South, Senator Ifeanyi Ubah, describing it as “an act of cowardice, uncultured and unwarranted”.

Recall that Ubah was attacked in Enugwu Ukwu community in Njikoka Local Government Area of the state.

Three policemen and two civilians were killed in the attack, the state police command confirmed.

“The Indigenous People of Biafra, IPoB, has condemned in strong terms, the barbaric and wicked attack on Senator Ifeanyi Ubah and other individuals in Enugu Ukwu in Njilkoka Local Government Area, Anambra State, which was said to have claimed the lives of over three Policemen and three civilians,” the statement read in part.

The proscribed group said that the attack was shocking, too painful and strange.

It said such an attack had not happened in the history of Igboland.

IPOB promised to get to the root of the matter and expose those behind the attack, promising that Ndigbo would laugh at last by the time the perpetrators were uncovered.
