The National Publicity Secretary of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Mallam Bolaji Abdullahi has given reasons a national leader of the party, Asiwaju Ahmed Tinubu and Chief Bisi Akande did not attend the dinner with President Muhammadu Buhari at the Presidential Villa.

A National Leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, has explained his absence at a dinner President Muhammadu Buhari organised for leaders of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) at the Presidential Villa, Abuja last week.

Tinubu said he would have attended the meeting which had former governors of Sokoto, Kano, Abia and Enugu, Senator Aliyu Wamako, Senator Rabiu Kwankwaso, Orji Kalu and Sullivan Chime in attendance if it were necessary for him to be there.

The former Lagos State Governor, who spoke with The Punch through his media aide, Tunde Rahman, added that his absence at the meeting should not be read out of context.

He said, “There shouldn’t be any issue about this at all.

“Why are you trying to make a mountain out of a molehill?

“If there was a need for Asiwaju Tinubu to attend the dinner, he would not hesitate to be there.

“He had attended many meetings and dinners at the Presidential Villa before when it was required of him to attend.”

  • Nationality:________ All 180 million Nigerians now living have only way fill in the blank by writing. In Nigerian. We could not, without appearing stupid and stateless, fill in Lagos, or Oyo, or A amber, or Kano, or Yoruba, or Hausa, or Ibo, or Ijaw . If war broke out with another country now, we would all have to literally line up behind President Buhari to defend Nigeria We could not stand behind Saraki, or Kwakwaso, or Fayose, or Wike, or Tinubu The message is that at any moment in time we only one country we must love and adore and only one head of state we must respect
