Auto Crash Involving FRSC Officers Claimes Three Lives In Ibadan

Three persons were on Wednesday, November confirmed dead in an auto crash,  involving a tipper lorry and a Mercedes Benz in Ibadan, Oyo state.

The victims included two suspected members of the Federal Road Safe Commission  (FRSC) and one other yet to be identified.

This is contained in a statement The Herald obtained from the Corps official instagram page.

The statement read: “Our attention has been drawn to the road traffic crash incident that allegedly claimed the lives of three (3) people suspected to be members of the Corps and one (1) other who is yet to be identified.

“The Corps Marshal has directed the Sector Commander to carry out full investigation into the culpable cause of the incident and report immediately.

“To this end, the general public is advised to be calm while investigation is on going.
Meanwhile, first information that reached us indicates that a driver of a tipper lorry was alleged to have stopped on his own and the driver alighted and walked down to meet with our patrol team.

“In the course of the discussion , a Mercedes Benz ran into FRSC patrol vehicle killing the arresting marshal and the other person while the official seated in the vehicle was seriously injured.”
