Crisis continues to bedevil the oil rich Ugborodo community in Warri as the 10 year old niece of Chief Ayiri Emami, Hilary Eyengho was abducted by gunmen in the state yesterday.

The 10 year old girl was said to be returning from church in the company of 5 other people when the car they were traveling in was accosted by gunmen on Mission Road.

Vanguard reports:

Chief Emami expressed dismay that this could still happen despite the peace brokered between the warring factions, alleging that the opposing camp in Ode-Ugborodo has continued to destroy houses of key members of his group.

He called on the security agents to fish out the abductors of his niece  and deal with them accordingly. He alleged that the opposing camp destroyed the homes of the 87-year-old mother of a member of Ugborodo Community Trust, Mr. Isaac Botosan and that of one Mr. Tunu.

Elder brother to the abducted Hilary, Mr. Besidone Eyengho, told Vanguard that the matter had been reported at the Police “A” Division, Headquarters, Warri.

Speaking on the development, another elder brother to the victim, Mr Kiki Eyengho, said he was actually the target of the kidnap, adding that the inability of the kidnappers to get him led to his sister being abducted.

Kiki, it was gathered, is a nephew to Chief Emami, who apparently lived and grew up with him (Emami).
