Embakasi East MP Babu Owino was on Friday morning arrested over a shooting incident at a club in Kilimani, Nairobi, which left one person with gunshot wounds.
This would not be the first time that Babu will be arrested. In 2018, the law maker was arrested for allegedly assaulting a parking attendant.
Blogger Robert Alai said: “Embakasi East MP Babu Owino is alleged to have shot DJ Evolve 3 last night at the B-Club,”
According to Nairobi News, The MP is in lawful custody as further investigations continue. The incident took place early hours of the morning.
ilimani Sub County Police Commander (SCPC) Lukas Ongara said he could not comment while on the phone with Nairobi News, but promised to get back once he had the full information.

A witness at the club said: “Even the watchmen were in panic mode. Apparently Babu Owino had drawn his gun and shot somebody at B Club. Same Babu has now taken the guy to hospital,” the man said.
A detective who saw the victim said he was shot in the neck. Babu has since released a statement on Facebook concerning the matter.
Babu said: “While enjoying the company of my friends at a popular Nairobi restaurant, I was surrounded by a large group of aggressive individuals. In the melee, there was an exchange of gunfire,”
“I invite the relevant authorities to conduct their investigations without fear or favor and I remain confident that the truth will come out.”
