Tongues are no wagging over a “distinguished” senator’s alleged romance and showering of expensive gift items as well as N2million cash on an 18-year-old senior secondary school student (SSS3) in Asaba, Delta State.

The wife of the senator who got wind of her husband’s love escapades is allegedly fighting on all fronts to stop  the relationship but the lawmaker is reportedly not ready to end the relationship with the student, whose parents have endorsed it.
The senator is said to have fell in love with the girl when he visited the family of another girl in Asaba who was allegedly killed by suspected cultists.

Upon noticing the SSS3 girl, the senator asked a friend for details on the damsel and was allegedly told that she was just an ordinary SSS 3 student and a friend to the deceased.

It was learnt that the senator sent his complementary card to the girl and requested her to meet him in a hotel in the neighbourhood.
After the burial of her friend, the girl allegedly went to enquire of the senator at the hotel but was denied access to the lawmaker by the
workers but the student allegedly put a call to the lawmaker who immediately cleared her.

It was learnt that at the hotel room the senator sealed the relationship and promised to change her fortunes.
Last Thursday the senator allegedly sauntered into Asaba in a milk coloured Honda Accord popularly known as “End of discussion” car. He allegedly made straight to the girl’s house in NITEL area of Asaba where he presented a Prado car key and N2million cash to the student in the presence of her parents who were said to have fallen on their knees for thanksgiving.
Since the incident happened, the girl has allegedly been under harassments by hoodlums (area boys) who want to have their share of the largesse.
