Suspected bandits have kidnapped the father of Speaker Zamfara State House of Assembly, Nasiru Mu’azu and seven other persons in Magarya village, Zurmi Local Government Area of the state.
TVC reported Thursday that the heavily armed bandits abducted the victims on Wednesday night.
Also said to have been abducted were the Speaker’s stepmother and uncle.
The Public Police Relations Officer (PPRO) in the state, Sp Shehu Mohammed confirmed the incident.
He said that the command has deployed additional troops to the affected area to ensure the safe return of the victims.
