Arsenal’s marksman, Alexandre Lacazette could be a Barcelona player in the summer as the Spanish side is said to be readying a £70 million move.

The 27-year-old Frenchman attracted interest from Barcelona after raking up 18 goals and 12 assists this season.

He is reportedly being sought to ease the burden on 31-year-old striker, Luis Suarez.

According to Express, Barcelona representatives watched with keen interest as the striker struck twice in the first half to help Arsenal secure a 3-1 win over Valencia in the UEFA Europa League semi-final first leg on Thursday.

The move is expected to be further smoothened by Lacazette’s closeness to Barcelona’s Technical Secretary, Eric Abidal.

The Sun UK recently reported that Barcelona could turn to Lacazette should they fail to secure the services of Atletico Madrid’s Antoine Griezmann.

Barcelona are also believed to be ready to throw in Andre Gomes and Samuel Umtiti as part of the deal to convince Arsenal to sell Lacazette, who has scored 35 goals in 85 games for the North London side since joining in July 2017 from Lyon for a then club-record fee of £46.5 million.
