Basket Mouth vows never to mock Nigerian police with his jokes

A-list comedian, Basketmouth has sworn he will never make bad jokes about the Nigerian Police.

Yesterday the iconic comedian shared photos him and the Lagos State Commissioner of Police Fatai Owoseni with a caption, thanking the police chief.

However, the reason behind this new move is connected to the manner the Lagos Police Command recovered the items stolen from the comedian’s home last September when armed men stormed his home.

Recall that Basketmouth and his family were held at gunpoint by men who were discovered by the Lagos Police and arrested two weeks later. None of the comedian’s family member was hurt during the attack, but valuable items were stolen.

Now, the items have all been returned to the comedian, and he is thankful.

“I want to thank the Nigeria Police for a job well-done. I thought I will never see again the items stolen from my house,” BasketMouth said. “It is amazing that within two weeks of the robbery attack, the suspects were arrested, my handset recovered.

“I usually make negative jokes about our police, but with this performance, I will never use them for negative jokes. I advise members of the public to always support the police,” he continued, adding, “In western nations, it is the public that assist the police for information against criminals.”
