Bauchi Governor in Self-Isolation after Handshake with Atiku’s son

Executive Governor of Bauchi state, Bala Mohammed has subjected himself to self-isolation after shaking hands with Atiku Abubakar’s son who tested positive to the deadly Coronavirus.

Gov. Bala Mohammed reportedly self-isolated after reports emerged of Atiku’s son testing positive to COVID-19. The two prominent Nigerians exchanged pleasantries and a cordial handshake at the airport where they ran into each other.

Ladan Salihu, former Director-General of Radio Nigeria made the disclosure in a tweet

“Our Governor Bala Mohammed in self-isolation following contact with Atiku Abubakar’s Son. Yes. We were on the same flight from Lagos to Abuja. They shook hands and exchanged pleasantries. The gov and the rest of us have taken tests. The results will be negative Insha Allah.” Salihu tweeted

Nigeria as at March 23 has a record of 35 confirmed cases of Coronavirus including the son of Atiku Abubakar, presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
