A missing plane said to be the property of the Bauchi State Government has been discovered in Morocco.

The announcement was made by the state governor, Mohammed Abubakar while giving account of his stewardship as helmsman of the state in the last 100 days on Saturday.

According to the governor, the plane was discovered in an airport in Morocco, after a Public Property Recovery Committee set up by the State Government and headed by retired Air Commodore Ahmed Tijjani-Baba, traced it to the country.

“I wish to announce the fruitful efforts in locating the state owned Embraer 145 Aircraft in Morocco and soon it will land at the Abubakar Tafawa-Balewa international Airport in a matter of days,” the governor said.

The governor promised to “beams its (the committee’s) satellite” on agencies and parastatals of government that mismanage public funds.

Governor Abubakar had promised immediately after being sworn on May 29 to release figures to prove that “the state is completely empty”, after accusing his predecessor, Isa Yuguda, of corruption.
