Bayelsa Police Rescue Doctor from Attempted Kidnapping

The anti-kidnapping unit of the Nigerian Police force, Bayelsa Command saved a doctor from being abducted by kidnappers from the General Hospital Odi, at Kolokuma/Opukuma local government area.

According to the Public relations officer of the Bayelsa State police Command, SP Asimin Butswat, the kidnappers went to abduct their victim from the Doctors quarters of the General Hospital but didn’t meet him there.

The gang was however apprehend by police operatives within Odi town when they were searching for their victim.

Upon arrest, the gang all said to be in their 20s confessed about the intent of their operations.

The spokesperson said the suspects would all the charged to court as soon as investigations are concluded.
