BBNaija Season 9 Reunion: Ex-Lovers Zion and Chinwe Clash Over Who Ended Their Relationship

The BBNaija Season 9 Reunion kicked off on Monday night with explosive drama as former housemates and ex-lovers, Zion and Chinwe, reignited tensions over their highly publicized breakup.
During the fiery segment of the premiere episode, Zion claimed he was the one who ended their relationship, citing misaligned life goals. “I basically ended things,” he told host Ebuka Obi-Uchendu, adding, “I felt like we were moving in different places in our lives.”
But Chinwe wasn’t having it.
Visibly upset, she accused Zion of lying and misleading viewers about how things truly ended. “What Zion will not do is sit here and lie on me now,” she snapped. “You could have owned the narrative, my love. What do you mean you broke up with me?”
Chinwe Blames Zion’s “Nonchalant Attitude”
Chinwe claimed that the real reason for the breakup was Zion’s lack of commitment and emotional maturity. She recounted a specific incident where Zion chose a night out partying over spending time with her before she traveled.
“I asked him to come home and spend time with me. He switched off his phone and went clubbing instead,” she alleged. “The next day, he said he couldn’t get a ride but still managed to drive past our place to his friend’s house.”

Chinwe also revealed deeper strains in their relationship, stating that Zion’s family and friends turned against her after she disclosed during the BBNaija show that she financially supported Zion’s entry into the competition.
According to her, that revelation painted her in a bad light and created tension that never fully healed.
