BBNaija Season 9 Reunion: Nelly Blames Kassia for Broken Friendship with Kellyrae

Former Big Brother Naija Season 9 housemate, Nelly Mbonu, has opened up about the fallout between her and fellow housemate Kellyrae, revealing that their friendship is over—and blaming Kassia for the rift.

The emotional revelation came during the latest episode of the highly anticipated BBNaija Season 9 Reunion, hosted by Ebuka Obi-Uchendu.

Nelly Speaks on End of Friendship with Kellyrae

Nelly and Kellyrae were known for their close bond during the early weeks of the reality show. Their friendship sparked conversations among fans even before they disclosed their secret marriage to fellow housemates.

However, things have taken a different turn since the show ended.

When asked by Ebuka about the current state of her relationship with Kellyrae, Nelly did not hold back.

“It never for once felt like me and Kellyrae had issues,” she said. But she noted that something had clearly changed—and she believed Kassia was at the center of it.

Ebuka asked her when she began to notice the shift in Kellyrae’s attitude.

Nelly responded directly, “Obviously, it’s the wife.”

This triggered a sharp reaction from Kassia, who interrupted, saying, “Hmm? You stopped talking to him. What do you mean by, ‘obviously, it’s the wife’?”

Nelly fired back, “Can you shut up and let me speak? Anyways, like I was saying, the wife obviously had issues with me in the house.”

Kassia Accused of Lying

Nelly went on to accuse Kassia of fabricating a story that caused her to fall out with another housemate, Onyeka.

She explained that Kassia told her Onyeka said something negative about her. But later, she discovered that the comment had no basis.

“That thing you told me, you were so confident that Onyeka told you. You never told me it was your instincts,” Nelly said.

In her defense, Kassia clarified, “I said two things. Onyeka said the first one. The second one was my instincts. Maybe you didn’t understand.”
