BBNaija Star Doyin Vows Never to Join Nigerian Reality Shows Again, Cites Mental Health Struggles

Big Brother Naija star Doyin David has vowed never to participate in another Nigerian reality show, citing the toll her BBNaija experience took on her mental health and accusing the show’s producers of misrepresenting her personality.
In a viral video shared during an interview on Trendupp Africa, Doyin opened up about her time on the popular reality series, describing it as a “very crazy experience” that she has no intention of repeating.

“My experience being on a reality show was mad. Very, very crazy,” she said. “I will never do it again in my life, not for any amount—except it is a show outside the country.”
The reality TV personality claimed that the version of her presented to viewers was heavily edited to fit a specific narrative, leading to widespread public misjudgment of her character.
“They portray you the way they want to,” she said. “They have given everybody an impression of me that is not really true. A lot of people think certain things about my personality that aren’t who I am at all.”
Doyin also criticised the judgmental nature of the Nigerian public, stating it played a significant role in her decision to distance herself from future local reality TV projects.
“Nigerians are too judgmental, so I’m not blessing them with my presence ever again,” she declared.
