BBNaija Star Sammie Accused of ₦4.45 Million Scam Over Alleged 2025 Audition Slot Deal

Former Big Brother Naija Season 6 housemate, Sammie, has come under heavy criticism from Nigerians online following allegations that he defrauded a man of ₦4.45 million under the guise of securing a slot on the 2025 BBNaija show.
A viral video recorded by Nigerian videographer Lucky Udu features one Emmanuel Idakoh, also known as Young Barby, accusing Sammie of orchestrating the scam. According to Idakoh, he paid Sammie in several installments for what he believed was a guaranteed place in the next edition of the popular reality TV show.

“I was scammed ₦4,450,000 by my brother from Kogi State, Big Sammie from BBNaija Season 6,” Idakoh said emotionally in the video.
He revealed that Sammie initially requested a payment and later demanded an additional ₦1 million. Idakoh claimed he even took out a loan with steep interest and had to sell his car to repay it, all on Sammie’s assurances that the “investment” would yield returns once he got into the Big Brother house.
“He advised me to take a loan and even assured me everything would be refunded if it didn’t work out. I trusted him like a brother. But after the BBNaija 2025 audition list came out, he stopped speaking to me,” he lamented.
As of the time of this report, Sammie has not publicly responded to the allegations nor replied to messages seeking his side of the story.
