BBNaija star Rebecca “Nengi” Hampson has confirmed her pregnancy in a recent statement, addressing and dismissing rumours that the Bayelsa State governor, Duoye Diri, is the father of her child.
Nengi trended online as reports speculating her pregnancy for the 65-year-old governor gained traction. In response, she released a statement clarifying the situation and dispelling the claims about the governor’s paternity and the allegation of being his fifth wife.

“As much as I believe social media lies aren’t worth my time, I’ve come to accept that we live in a world where people are quick to spread lies without limits, so let me be clear, I’m not pregnant for any Governor,” she wrote. “I’ve chosen to speak because this isn’t just an attack on me, it involves people I hold in the highest regard, and I won’t allow a beautiful, personal part of my life to be turned into something ugly.”
Nengi added that she intends to enjoy her pregnancy in peace and wished her followers love and a happy Valentine’s weekend.
