Fans of the hit show Big Bang Theory will heave a sigh of relief as to of its famous characters Sheldon and Amy (played by Jim Parsons and Mayim Bialik) will finally have sex.
In an episode that taped this week and will air on Thursday, December 17, the currently estranged couple will do the deed.
“After over five years of dating, we felt the time was right for Sheldon and Amy to finally consummate their relationship,” showrunner Steve Molaro said in a statement, “and we’re so excited for the audience to see the journey over the next several episodes.”
Currently in its 9th season, the Big Bang Theory is a sitcom primarily centred on five characters living in Pasadena, California: geeks Leonard Hofstadter, Sheldon Cooper, Howard Wolowitz, Raj Koothrappali. Penny,Leonard’s wife, Bernadette Rostenkowski Howard’s girlfriend (later his wife) and Amy Farrah Fowler, Sheldon’s girlfriend. It focuses on their day to day activities and how their geekness affects their lives.
