Bishop Oyedepo, Founder of the Living Faith Church a.k.a Winners Chapel recently approved the sum of N650 million for the construction and repair of dilapidated roads leading to the church.
Nigerians have taken to the streets of Twitter to react to the news. While some commend the man of God for his “charitable work”, others argue it is not “charitable” since church worshippers are benefiting from the act.
Nigerians are currently arguing, asking themselves why they are so quick to slam Pastors but ignore the same Pastors when engage in commendable acts.

It isn’t new, the church have been doing it for years since they moved to Canaan land if I may recall. They even wanted to run railway track from lagos to ogún state connecting to the church but d government requested dey give them the money to do it which was why they dropped it

What Bishop Oyedepo did is really commendable. The church doesn’t have to fix roads, that’s the job of the government.
I’m close to the Chairman of Iju/Atan/Ilogbo LCDA. He said the tax the church pays annually is more than all taxes from other companies in that LCDA.
