It was a sad day in Ibadan yesterday after a trailer lost control and rammed into a group of people, killing 10 of them on the spot.
Most of the dead were said to be commercial motorcycle riders, popularly called Okada riders, who were waiting to pick passengers.
The incident occurred at the New Garage area of the city, close to the old tollgate.
The trailer, with registration number LND 221 XA, was said to be coming from Methodist High School road towards New Garage when it lost control.
Policemen and operatives of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) mobilised quickly to provide rescue efforts.
