Nigerian crossdresser Bobrisky has refuted allegations of bribing Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) officials with N15 million.
A voice recording, allegedly by Bobrisky, claimed he bribed EFCC officials to drop money laundering charges and served his six-month prison term in a lodge instead of jail.
However, Bobrisky denied the allegations on Instagram, stating:
“My attention has been drawn to a fake voice recording circulating online that I paid EFCC N15 million and that I was never in prison. I didn’t pay any EFCC money; it is a very big lie. I served my term in full and I came out.”
The controversy follows Bobrisky’s April 2024 conviction and six-month jail term for naira mutilation.
