Nigerian transgender celebrity, Bobrisky, has launched a scathing attack on the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), calling it the “most wicked” organisation in Nigeria.
Bobrisky’s outburst came in response to the EFCC’s plea for Nigerians to show empathy and humanity towards its official who was shot dead during a raid in Anambra State. The celebrity took to Instagram Stories to express his disgust, accusing the EFCC of hypocrisy.
According to Bobrisky, his own experience with the EFCC was traumatic. He claimed that during his time in EFCC custody, his house was searched on allegations of money laundering. “You claimed I was into money laundering and wanted to check if I was printing money in my house,” Bobrisky posted.
The celebrity also stated that he prefers the police to the EFCC, saying “the police are 100% better than you all, one million times”.
It’s worth noting that Bobrisky had previously been charged with money laundering by the EFCC, but the charges were later dropped due to lack of evidence.
