Many Nigerians may not be familiar with the name Boisty Thulo, but she is a South African actress who is in the center of a huge scandal involving Nigeria’s own Davido.
According to reports, the singer who performed in Zimbabwe allegedly made sexual advances towards the South African who then rejected them and was furious about it.
As usual, there are people on both sides of the argument with some on Davido’s side and others tearing the singer apart.
But who is Boisty Thulo?
Thulo, 27, is an actress and TV personality in South Africa with a relatively strong body of work. She was born Boitumelo Thulo and her most popular role is that of Mpho Bogatsu on Mzansi Magic’s Rockville, a South African soap Opera that had a huge following.
She was also a TV host for the E.Tv show, club 808.
She has also made a nice fortune for herself with the reported purchases of a mansion worth R4 million (N116,806,000) and a fancy Mercedes Benz.
She used to date South African hip-hop act, Cassper Nyovest who incidentally did a song with Davido called ‘Check on You’, but the pair broke up.
After the split, she said in an interview that she was open to new love but only with a man who could compete financially;
“Do you think I’d get married to a broke man‚?
“I am done with men who are broke. I don’t even care what anybody says about it. What do you think must happen if you don’t have money? No man‚ I work really hard and I am not willing to step into a marriage where I have everything and you have nothing.”
