Boko Haram Attack: 46 Soldiers Declared Missing

The Nigerian Army has officially declared one officer and 45 out of 83 soldiers missing, after a Boko Haram attack four weeks ago.

The soldiers were attacked at their base in Gashigar, Borno state.

The Army is said to have sent a notice to the missing soldier’s families across the country, informing them of their inability to find their loved ones.

According to the Nigerian Army, families of the missing soldiers have been informed to send their account details and next of kin information, so as to receive remittance of accrued payments.

It was reported that the new commander of the Nigerian Army, 145 Task Force Battalion in Damask, Borno state, Lieutenant Colonel Jimoh, disclosed this information to the families.
