Leader of the Niger Delta Peoples Volunteer Force (NDPVF), Alhaji Mujahideen Asari Dokubo has alleged that Boko Haram is nothing more than a political construct set up to deny President Goodluck Jonathan the Northern vote in 2015.

Speaking at the fourth edition of the South-South Youth Leaders and Elders Interactive Forum in Port Harcourt, Rivers State over the weekend, Dokubo said Boko Haram was chasing Northern Christians away from their homes ahead of the 2015 elections.

”All they want is political power. Boko Haram has nothing to do with Islam. Boko Haram is a political movement to foist leadership on Nigeria. Nigeria is of much treasure to them.

“They want to weaken the northern Christians not to vote for Jonathan in 2015. They are chasing all the Christians in the north from their communities”.

Dokubo said Jonathan must go for a second term and that the President should be vigilant as some members of his administration represent the interests of his enemies.
