#SexForGrades: UniLag lecturer, Boniface attempts suicide with rat poison, currently hospitalized

Current speculations on the internet have alleged that the University of Lagos lecturer, Dr Boniface, who was exposed on BBC’s “#SexForGrade” documentary, has attempted suicide and is now at Reddington hospital, under supervision.

The video of the scandal which was released on Monday has since gone viral on the internet and several news platforms.

Dr Boniface who has made no specific comments came under severe attacks on his facebook timeline on Monday.

According to Nairaland,  a close relative confirmed that Boniface attempted suicide by taking rat poison. He was found almost lifeless on the floor with bubbles foaming out of his mouth before being rushed to the hospital.

The speculation of his attempted suicide was further verified by a twitter user with over 10,000 followers.

His tweet reads;

”Boniface Igbenehue attempted suicide last night & is currently in Reddington hospital, under supervision. We need him alive to face the university’s disciplinary panel & be prosecuted to the full extent of the law. Nigerians have now reacted saying, he must live to face the law.”
