Information reaching The Herald affirms that a fire is presently ongoing in the Ijegun area of Igando-Ikotun Local Council Development Area of Lagos.

However, information as to the cause of the fire is presently sketchy but residents confirmed that three explosions were heard in quick succession at some minutes past 5am, while a fourth was heard less than ten minutes after.

While some residents said that the explosions came from oil pipelines belonging to the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) in Ijegun, others said it came from a gas station located between Fire Junction and Ijegun bus-stops along Isolo Road.
