Breaking News: NCAA Suspend All Dana Air Flights

1 Min Read

Barely two months after resuming operations, the Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) has ordered Dana Air to suspend all its flight operations in the country.

Sources say the decision was taken by NCAA yesterday. However, the reason for the suspension remains unclear as at the time of filing this report.

While speaking to newsmen today, Dana Air spokesman Tony Usidanem said  that Nigeria’s aviation ministry asked for the suspension in a letter which it received yesterday. He said the letter did not give any reason for the suspension.

Usidanem said a meeting has been scheduled between the management and the NCAA for purposes of clarity.

A Dana Air crash on June 3, 2012 left more than 160 people dead, leading the carrier to lose its license.
