BREAKING: NYSC members to enjoy N30,000 Minimum wage – Youth Minister

Sunday Dare, the Minister of Youth and Sports Development has disclosed that National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) members will henceforth benefit from the new N30,000 minimum wage.

Sunday Dare made this disclosure via a tweet on his official Twitter account.

According to the Youth Minister, the Director-General of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) is set to meet with the Minister of Finance , Zainab Shamshuna Ahmed to provide details of how the newly implemented minimum wage will be effected in NYSC allowance known as “allawee”. He, (Youth Minister) will also be present at the meeting.

Next week the DG NYSC will provide details of the new allowee for the Youth Corp members after full briefing from the Ministries of Finance And MYSD nysc-n30000-minimum-wage-youth-minister

This means that the Corps members will no longer receive N19,800 as monthly allowance but will henceforth receive N30,000 as payment before tax. After N300 tax deduction,  Corp members will walk home with N29,700 as allowance at the end of every month.

This news has been met with Joy from Nigerians who replied the Minister with praiseful words.
