Suspected hoodlums on Wednesday morning invaded the Upper Chamber of the National Assembly, carting away the mace.
According to reports, the hoodlums invaded the chamber while plenary was ongoing and made away with the mace, as the whole chamber was thrown into confusion.
The hoodlums, who arrived the chamber around 11:15am, were said to have struggled with the Sergeant-at-Arms of the chamber, who tried unsuccessfully to recover the mace.
