A lady whose wedding comes up in a week has been remanded in prison custody for allegedly assaulting her neighbour in Isolo, Lagos.
The lady identified as Olawunmi, 33, was said to have slapped her neighbour whose name was given as Anthony for a reason that was not disclosed.
The assaulted neighbour subsequently reported the matter to the Ijeshatedo police station which prompted Olawunmi to be arrested.
She was allegedly told to apologise to Anthony but refused, causing a charge of assault to be brought against her at a Magistrate Court sitting in Isolo.
Olawunmi was said to have pleaded not guilty to all the charges brought against her.
However, she burst into tears when she heard the magistrate’s verdict.
The magistrate granted her bail to the tune of N20,000 with one suety in like sum and ordered that she be kept in prison custody pending the fulfilment of her bail conditions.
The case has been adjourned till October 16, 2015.
