Brunei Reports No New COVID-19 Cases for 8 Straight Days

Brunei reported no new cases of COVID-19 on Monday with the national tally of cases standing at 138, marking the eighth day in a row without new cases since April 19.

According to Brunei’s Ministry of Health, one more recovery was recorded on Sunday, bringing the total number of recovered cases to 124.

The number of active cases still being treated at the National Isolation Center decreased to 13.

Two patients are still in critical condition and both require Extracorporeal Membrane Oxygenation (ECMO) and respiratory assistance, while the rest are in a stable condition.

There has been one death resulting from the COVID-19.

The ministry added that so far 114 individuals are still undergoing quarantine and 2,452 people have completed the quarantine period.

Some 13,149 laboratory tests for COVID-19 have been conducted.
