Buffon given Guard of Honour As He Plays Final Game At Juventus

Gianluigi Buffon has ended his goalkeeping career with Juventus as they defeated Hellas Verona 2-1 when Daniele Rugani and Miralem Pjanic sealed their victory making them the Italian League winners.

The 40-year-old, who has been with Juventus for 17 years, over the years gained huge reputation with the club.

During the league finale, he played until the 63rd minute before he was replaced by Carlo Pinsoglio and given a loud ovation from the spectators.

Buffon was given a guard of honour by his teammates as he struggled to hold back his tears amidst cheers from the spectators.

While the game continued, Buffon did a lap of honour as he accepted gifts and got congratulated as he shook his fans.

Buffon was born on the 28th of January 1978 in Carrara, Italy, and ranks second among Juventus F.C’s highest-featured players, playing 655 games.
