The ultimate success a leader can achieve is to leave a legacy and enact an indelible history not only for the people around but for the whole of the generation to come after. While all human beings have the chance to leave a good legacy and no amount is little to praise. When one’s actions inspire others, to dream more, learn more, do more, and become more then that person is more than just a leader.

A great leader doesn’t work to seek the applause of the people or the place as he seeks for the truth; he seeks the road to ascertain good developments and give them to his people. Good administrators are like clocks that always monitor the time of peoples’ affairs and remind them on the next thing to do.

Professor Idris Muhammad Bugaje is a leader that roused from the grass to the grace. His selfless service as the lecturer of the famous Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria gave him many feathers to fly. He shared his wealth of knowledge sand experiences lecturing in the University of Maiduguri and Kaduna Polytechnic. He served as Director General, National Research Institute for Chemical Technology, Zaria and also one of the greatest Rector of Federal Polytechnic, Nasarawa.

Professor Bugaje was anointed as the rector of Kaduna Polytechnic on 14th September, 2017 for being a jack of all trades in the academia and his past records of excellence. He was appointed to restructure, inject prudency in the giant polytechnic and restore the glory of the polytechnic as the rector said he met the institution in decaying condition.

On November 27, 2017 the Rector stated that he inherited over N600m liabilities and claims. He also explained that he inherited almost 50 court cases and the Rector after supervising the institution, complained about the conditions of the school offices and the students’ hostels.

Without doubt Kaduna Polytechnic is getting out of the mirage situation and is metamorphosing from its former direction. The Polytechnic is waxing expansion and stabilized from indiscriminate strikes that are dwarfing the prospect of the school. The institution is getting new touch of refurbishment and more courses are getting accreditations. Bugaje, in his wealth of prowess diversified means for other non lucrative departments and subsidiary agencies of the institution to be relevant and become revenue generating resources. The Kadpoly Consult is now expected to remit N5 million from the fish pound and block industry initiated under the leadership of professor Bugaje.

The Mass Communication department has relocated to Tudun Wada/Unguwar Sanusi main campus for the Spider Radio, a campus radio station to broadcast even beyond the college and the institution is underway of being a manufacturer of solar tricycle vehicles with the mission to span into modern science and technology of productions.

Malam Idris Bugaje as the Kaduna Polytechnic rector has repositioned the renowned institution to its global educational standards. His versatile academia experiences averted the recurrent strikes of the polytechnic and stands for all the benefits of his staff.

Professor Idris Bugaje in his effort to protect students from victimization of any sort promised to let the law work judiciously on any staff that is involved in any act of misconduct. In a parley with the students of the Polytechnic, he promised to leave no stone unturned as he retorted, there is no untouchable by the law. To keep to his words he begged the students to report any spate of adultery and corrupt practices by staff of the institution and get reward. The Rector initiated a whistle blowers programme to fish out any offender of the law.

Professor Idris Muhammad Bugaje has kept to his words of rekindling the good image of the institution and his administrative mechanisms remain the wheels that always trail him to achieve his successes in his careers. His intellect yields him vintage of fruits that the cowards throw stones to pluck while the wise climb to harvest.
