Buhari Commissions 3 New War Ships, Navy Patrol Boats in Lagos

There are recent media reports that President Muhamadu Buhari has arrived Lagos this afternoon to commission new vessels acquired by the Nigerian Navy.

One of the three ships being commissioned was imported while the other two were built in Nigeria.

Businessday reports that Buhari arrived Lagos this morning and headed for the Naval Dockyard, Victoria Island to commission three war ships and twenty-seven patrol boats. He was received by the Governor of Lagos State, Akinwunmi Ambode.

Buhari will commission the twenty-seven patrol boats for the use of the navy to patrol the nation’s water body.

The President was accompanied on the visit by the Minister of Power, Works and Housing, Babatunde Fashola and army chiefs.
