1 Min Read

The Presidency has commented on the saga involving a trader, Mr. Chinakwe, who named his dog ‘Buhari’.

This was contained in a statement made by the Senior Special Assistant to President Muhammadu Buhari on Media and Publicity, Mallam Garba Shehu.

Garba Shehu, who commented via his twitter handle, tweeted that People should listen to the real story behind this dog incident and not to waste precious time seeking the hand of the President in a laughable incident!

He said that President Buhari must be having a good laugh over this whole thing.

He described it as cheap and sensational to say he can order a police action against a caricature.

He further tweeted that anybody linking Buhari to the dog incident is displaying his/her ignorance.
