Buhari Gives Dangote’s Daughter’s Hand In Marriage In Kano

President Muhammadu Buhari was the bride’s guardian who handed over the hands of Hajiya Fatima Dangote in marriage in Kano on Friday.

The bride, the daughter of Africa’s richest man, Alhaji Aliko Dangote, got wedded to the son of former Inspector General of Police, Alhaji Jamil M. D. Abubakar at a Fatiha ceremony held within the premises of the Emir of Kano, Alhaji Muhahammadu Sanusi II around 11am.

Dignitaries at the well-attended event included: former Head of State, Abdulsalami Abubakar; Senate President, Dr Bukola Saraki; Speaker of the House of Representatives, Yakubu Dogara; and world’s second richest man, Bill Gates.

The wedding was also attended by the governors of Kano, Katsina, Sokoto, Nasarawa, Kaduna, Borno, Yobe, Kogi, Ogun, Oyo, Kwara.
