The Peoples Democratic Party, PDP caucus in the House of Representatives has reiterated its call for President Muhammadu Buhari’s impeachment.

Factional leader of the caucus, Hon. Kingsley Chinda made the call in a Thursday afternoon news conference.

He was accompanied by other members of the PDP caucus.

The latest call came barely a week after no fewer than 333 students were abducted from the Government Science Secondary School, Kankara in Katsina State.

Recall that Chinda had made a similar call when Boko Haram beheaded 43 rice farmers in Zabarmari in Jere local government area.

He had urged Nigerians to prevail on their representatives in the National Assembly to immediately commence impeachment proceedings against the president.

According to him, the Federal Government under President Muhammadu Buhari failed in its primary responsibility of securing the lives and property of Nigerians.

However, House spokesman, Benjamin Kalu dismissed the call, saying it did not represent the opinion of the House nor even the minority caucus.

He added that Chinda must stop parading himself as the PDP caucus leader, noting that Hon. Ndudi Elumelu holds the position of Minority Leader and leader of the PDP caucus in the House.
