Buhari meets former CBN Governor in Mecca to Pray for the Naira

2 Min Read

Buhari meets with former CBN governor in Mecca to pray for the Naira. In what critics are calling one of the smartest moves ever for a sitting Nigeria (to be frank there are not many to compete with)! Buhari takes a page right out of GEJ’s book except he does it smarter … can anyone say CHANGE!

You see while GEJ traveled to an arguably (depending on your religion) holier land in Jerusalem, Isreal, his biggest mistake was that he did not carry the right team with him … especially his Economic team. Granted he could not take then CBN Governor Sanusi Lamido Sanusi with him, but at least he could have carried finance Minister Ngozi Okonjo Iweala. If he had done this, he would still be President by now and Naira will be one to the dollar! But he failed as can be evidence below … look at the poor selection of people he took #smh

But Buhari after studying the mistake of his predecessor … visited the Islamic equivalent of Jerusalem “Mecca,” but this time armed with ex CBN governor Muhammadu Sanusi ii, Governor of Osun State, Rauf Aregbesola, Governor of Borno State, Kashim Shettima and National Security Adviser Maj.Gen.Babagana Monguno (Rtd) … Buhari was prepared.

prayers

And the impact has almost been immediate. The Naira appreciated against the dollar from N400 to N250 in the space of 24 hours, the military declared that BokoHaram has been defeated, Borno and Osun state now have constant electricity and Oil was just discovered in Lake Chad.

This is what happens when you send the right people on a meaningless prayer trip in a holy land … CHANGE we can believe in.
