The federal civil service is set to experience sweeping change as President Muhammadu Buhari has reportedly ordered the mass retirement of permanent secretaries.
The president was said to have met with the perm secs on Tuesday afternoon, with Chief of Staff, Abba Kyari, and the Head of the Civil Service, Mrs Oyo-Ita, being present.
This may not be unconnected with the imminent swearing-in of ministers-designates on Wednesday.
Reports say as many as 17 permanent secretaries may be affected.
