One Facebook User posted a photo of the current fare to her Facebook wall and the photo is generating social media chatter on the issues currently affecting Nigerian economy with President Buhari being called upon to appoint a Chief Economic Adviser by lawmaker Rep. Obasa; also Nobel laureate Wole Soyinka has asked the President to convene a national economic conference.

The proponents of this measure are insinuating Nigerians are now seeking further economic improvement.

President Buhari recently said he believes the Jonathan administration had it still been in power would have compounded the crisis further, insisting that the exchange rate would have been N1000 to N1.

Travelers say the best option for those wanting to travel abroad is to avoid British Airways and Virgin Atlantic and go for more budget friendly airlines like Iberia, Turkish Airlines, Air Maroc for travel to the United Kingdom.
