Lauretta Onochie, a social media aide to President Muhammadu Buhari, has dared anyone to stone officials of the present administration as suggested by Senate Minority Leader, Sen. Enyinnaya Abaribe.

Abaribe made the call Wednesday on the floor of the Senate while lamenting the present administration’s alleged lackadaisical attitude towards the protection of the lives and properties of Nigerians.

The Abia South senator said, “Nigerians did not elect the Inspector General of Police. We did not elect the Chief of Staff. We did not elect the service chiefs. We did not elect the National Security Adviser.

“We elected the government of the APC in 2015 and reelected them in 2019. The reason we reelected them was that they continued to tell us they had a key to security.

“When you want to deal with a matter, you go with the head, so we will go with the government and ask this government to resign because they can no longer do anything.

“Yes, the Nigerians voted a government into power and that government even said, ‘if we don’t perform, stone us, we are going with the stones to stone them now because they are no longer performing.”

Taking to Twitter on Wednesday, Onochie described’s Abaribe’s statement as a call to anarchy.

She also warned anyone trying to carry out the threat to think twice to avoid unpleasant repercussions.

The presidential aide said that the Buhari administration would not tolerate its officials being treated like the way members of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) stoned former Senate President Ike Ekweremadu in Germany in August 2019.

Onochie said, “Security issues are sad concerns around the world including Nigeria. Buffoon Enyinnaya Abaribe, telling Nigerians to “pick stones to stone THEM”, is out of order! It’s a call for anarchy.

“To those who listen to him, Nigeria is not Sen Ike Ekwerenmadu. Don’t even try it. Don’t! Abaribe has tried with Nnamdi Kanu, to rip this nation apart and failed.

“When Atiku said there will be more herdsmen killing if Buhari was reelected, who said anything? How many stones did Abaribe throw?

“Please throw the first stone. We are waiting.”
