Buhari’s minister mourns as 6 kids playing with bomb get killed in Zamfara

The Minister of Humanitarian Affairs, Disaster Management and Social Development, Hajiya Sadiya Umar Farouq, has commiserated with families of the six children who lost their lives in Zamfara on Tuesday.

Farouq, in a statement on Wednesday in Abuja signed by her Special Assistant on Media, Mrs. Nneka Anibeze, described the death of the children as heartbreaking.

Earlier reports had it that the teenage girls went in search of firewood on Monday in a bush located in Magamin Diddi village in Maradun local government area of the state and found a device.

It was reported that the teenage girls were playing with the device when it exploded, killing all of them.

Farouq called on the concerned authorities to ensure that explosives do not get into the wrong hands.
