News that President Muhammadu Buhari had allegedly been spotted wearing shoes worth over N200k hit the Internet a few days ago sparking debate over the President’s wealth.
Opinion was divided as some believed that as the number one citizen of the country he was entitled to good shoes, others were of the opinion that due to the recession being seen in such shoes was a tad insensitive.
The President’s aide, Bashir Ahmad took to his Twitter page to defend the President.
The tweet has since been deleted but not before a screenshot was obtained.
