Farooq Kperogi, an Associate Professor of Journalism based in the United States of America has said he is not surprised by rumours of President Buhari’s alleged second marriage.

According to him, the President has always been known for his love for women.

Farooq said he found it surprising that many Nigerians seemed to be genuinely shocked when the rumours of a second wife began making rounds on different social media platforms.

He claimed everyone had a weakness and Buhari who neither smoked nor drank , had women as a Vice.

He further alleged an intimate friend of the President once said one could leave cigarettes, money and alcoholic drinks with Buhari for months and they would remain untouched upon his return, but the case would be completely different if a woman was among the options. Referring to Buhari as an “alleged” Sexual Athlete,  the friend upon his return would find a pregnant woman (albeit he said this may be exaggerated)

Farooq posted an excerpt precisely Page 10 from Dr. Dele Sobowale’s book titled, LETTING A THOUSAND FLOWERS BLOOM (IBRAHIM B. BABANGIDA 1985 – 1992 just to prove his point.

Page 10 of the book reads written by Dr. Sobowale reads: “Buhari never drank nor smoked. His only known vice was women. He must have been some sort of a sexual athlete. One officer who served with him in two stations had this to say: ‘You can leave your money, bottle of hot drinks or packets of cigarettes with Buhari, go away for several months and return and find nothing would be missing.”

“But leave your girlfriend or sister with him and you might return to find her pregnant.’ That might be an exaggeration but he had that reputation.”
