Burglars Rob Footballer’s Home, Cart Away Shoes Worth N5.7m

The family home of Manchester City starlet, Brandon Barker was burgled recently and properties valued at £70,000 (app N20 million) were stolen.

Among the items stolen were his 10 pairs of Christian Louboutin trainers valued at £2,000 each, meaning he lost about £20,000 (app N5.7 million).

Also stolen were his dad’s £40,000 Mercedes C Class car, cash, mobile phones and a laptop.

Barker joined Manchester City at the age of eight and now earns around £10,000-a-week, having signed a professional contract in 2014.

When he heard of the burglary at the home located in Didsbury, Greater Manchester, the player reportedly told a close pal he felt someone knew about his designer shoes and came specifically to steal them.

The winger’s first team debut for City was in February’s5-1 loss to Chelsea in the FA Cup.

He was voted Manchester City’s best Academy player for the 2013/2014 season, and was on loan to Rotherham throughout last season.

The burglary occurred on February 3.
